Holiday celebrations mean different things to different people, but nothing sets the tone for said parties quite like the right combination of food and drink.
1 head frisee, cleaned and chopped 3 cups shredded cabbage 1 cup shredded carrot 4 green onions, thinly sliced 1/2 cup chopped cilantro 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 tablespoon sesame oil 1/3 cup lime juice 1 teaspoon soy sauce 2 tablespoons sugar Freshly ground black pepper, to taste 1/4 cup slivered or sliced almonds, toasted
Methods/steps
In large bowl toss together frisee, cabbage, carrot, onion and cilantro. In small bowl whisk together oils, lime juice, soy sauce and sugar. Add freshly ground black pepper to taste. Pour dressing over slaw; toss to coat. Add almonds, toss again and serve.
